Awesome music for YouTube and social creators, without copyright issues

When you need music for your YouTube videos, social media content, and podcasts, the last thing you want is something cheesy or overplayed. (One more TikTok set to “Savage” and I’ll be the one getting sassy, moody, nasty.)

And even if you find a great jam, you still have to tiptoe around copyright claims and navigate the labyrinth of music licensing legal-speak.

If only there was a music platform built for creators, so you could find awesome music in seconds and avoid all copyright issues.

    Say hello to Uppbeat.

    TL;DR

Access a brand-new music platform for YouTube and social creators offering incredible music and zero copyright claims
    Alternative to: Epidemic Sound
Download unlimited tracks from a highly-curated catalog of real artists and beatmakers from around the world
Best for: YouTubers, social creators, podcasters, and small businesses looking for music that levels up their content

    Overview

Uppbeat is a music platform and library for creators, offering the guarantee of no YouTube copyright issues or demonetization of content.

Uppbeat gives solo creators and small businesses with up to 10 employees access to a music platform built from the ground up for the creator community.

That means unlimited music from real artists, awesome tracks added every week, and no copyright claims—because there’s nothing worse than your video getting red flagged!

So you can say goodbye to pricey music license subscriptions, uninspiring Creative Commons music, or Youtube Audio Library’s clunky interface. Now that’s music to our ears.

    Music library browse page

Uppbeat is the first freemium music platform designed specifically for creators.

Whether it’s chillhop for travel vlogs or background beats for tutorial videos, Uppbeat’s diverse catalog and curated playlists are designed to perfectly complement all types of content.

The Uppbeat library houses indie artists, producers, and composers from around the world, like Pryces, All Good Folks, and Soundroll.

And because Uppbeat only accepts one percent of artist applications (take that, Julliard!), you can easily find high quality and relevant tunes that’ll level up your content.

    Assortment of album covers

Discover a highly-curated catalog of awesome music from real artists.

With this Uppbeat Premium plan, you’ll get unlimited and uninterrupted access to Uppbeat. (To quote esteemed poet Rihanna, “Please don’t stop the music.”)

That way, you can have unlimited downloads, unlock exclusive Premium tracks, and whitelist your YouTube channel against copyright claims.

Best of all, the platform’s premium subscription revenue ensures that Uppbeat artists get paid every time you download their music, so everyone wins!

With Uppbeat Premium, you unlock and unleash your creativity with unlimited downloads and access to exclusive tracks.

No matter what kind of content you create, it needs a dope soundtrack to back it. (Imagine Nike ads without music—just sneakers awkwardly squeaking on the gymnasium floor.)

But you can’t afford to waste hours of your workday scouring the internet for copyright free music that won’t make you cringe.

Uppbeat removes the age-old barriers to awesome music, so you can find the perfect track for your YouTube and social content in seconds.

    🚨 UPDATED FAQs – 13 APRIL 2021🚨

We’ve received lots of questions about who can and can’t use Uppbeat music so I’ve updated some of these FAQs. I hope this helps!

❓ – Who can use Uppbeat music?

Solo creators and small businesses with up to 10 employees.

❓ – Where can I use Uppbeat music?

Uppbeat was built specifically for content creators, this means you can use Uppbeat music in any of your video or audio content with exception to paid advertising (i.e. content with paid exposure and the sole function of promoting a product or service.)

❓ – Boosted posts vs Paid ads?

We define paid advertising as content with paid exposure and the sole function of promoting a product or service. You’re more than welcome to boost your content, so long as it doesn’t meet this criteria.

❓ – Why the 10 employee and paid advertising limits?

Uppbeat was built specifically for YouTube and social creators. Focussing our platform and license on this audience specifically is how we’ve been able to take on such great music and offer such a low price – it’s a model that makes sense for both musicians & content creators.

For businesses with more comprehensive and commercial requirements, we invite you to visit our sister site, Music Vine, which offers an array of individual licenses and subscription plans at prices that are fair for all for such larger uses.

❓ – Can I use Uppbeat music on my own website?

Yes (this has been clarified since launching this AppSumo deal)

❓ – Can I use Uppbeat music in content for a client?

Yes, provided your client and their use case falls within the Uppbeat license, as explained above.

❓ – How do I clear YouTube copyright claims: Whitelisting vs Uppbeat Credits?

Uppbeat Premium offers two options for automatically clearing copyright claims on YouTube. If you’re a solo creator that’s creating content for your own YouTube channel you can whitelist your channel using your Uppbeat Premium account. Alternatively, if you create content for multiple YouTube channels (e.g. video content for clients) you can include Uppbeat Credits in your video descriptions.

❓ – What about copyright claims on other platforms?

You shouldn’t run into any copyright issues when using our music on social media or other video, podcast or streaming platforms. If you do, then please let us know and we’ll take a look into it right away!

❓ – Will claims get cleared on unlisted or private videos?

On YouTube, copyright claims will occur while a video is Private, Unlisted or Scheduled. But, as long as you've included your Uppbeat Credit or whitelisted your channel with Uppbeat Premium, they should get cleared quickly once the video is Public, usually within 10-15 minutes.

❓ – Can I clear copyright claims on more than one YouTube channel?

You can absolutely use Uppbeat music across a number of YouTube channels and copyright claims can easily be cleared by using Uppbeat Credits in their video descriptions. Uppbeat Premium users also have the option of applying
